Solidarity with UC Davis

Yesterday morning, the students, staff, and faculty of Occupy Harvard watched this video of police brutality at UC Davis in shock.

Today, Occupy Harvard joins Occupy movements around the country in calling out UC Davis police for the uncalled-for brutality exerted on students involved in Occupy. Police tore down tents and arrested students engaged in peaceful civil disobedience, then proceeded to brutally pepper spray students at close range.

As students who are also engaged in nonviolent and peaceful action, we are shocked and alarmed at this monstrous abuse of power and disproportionate show of force by campus police.

We occupy tonight in solidarity with our brothers and sisters at UC Davis and on campuses and cities across America who have faced injustice at the hands of the police.

  4. STOP THE OCCUPATION NOW says:

It means they also want to be pepper sprayed, so that they can feel solidarity with students at the University of California.
